At the age of six years old, Ron Hughes began singing. Of course
not anointed in the way he is now, but at
a
very young age he learned how to harmonize and sing gospel songs through
the years God has really seasoned him. He is a true
Irish tenor and brings a very distinct sound to the quartet. His is strong and
his blend with the guys is very good. He has sang with a number of all male
quartets through the years but we are thankful that he has totaled up many years
now with the Unity Quartet. Ron was saved in 1975, while driving down the road
and listening to the radio. He pulled his car to the side of the road and made
an altar at the rear bumper of his car. Ron was later called to preach and has
preached and pastored churches during the years he was not on the road singing.
Ron is a proud father and grand father who enjoys spending time with the family
and friends when we are not on the road. Ron works for the McDonald's
Corporation and resides in Albertville, Alabama. |
